How do you clear search history?

I am still trying to figure out how to clear my search history. I know how to do it for yahoo search, but not for google.

for example, if i type in 'a' on google, a drop down box will come up with all my past searches that started with the letter 'a'. it's sort of annoying and i'd like to get rid of it, but i don't know how.

if anyone knows what i'm talking about and how to help, please give me some suggestions. thanks! How do you clear search history?
Click Tools at the top of your screen, then select Internet Options, Click ';Clear History';, then Click ';Delete Files';.

Now Click on the Content tab.

Under Personal information click on the AutoComplete box.

On the AutoComplete Settings window click the Clear Forms box to delete your current history.

You can uncheck the Forms box if you want to permanently stop the generation of the search history.

Close browser and re-openHow do you clear search history?
It depends what kind of computer you have and what surver you are on. If you have a mac and are on Safari/Firefox click Go and click history and then Clear history. For Windows just about the same thing.
your windows default ';auto-complete'; needs to be turned off.
tools, internet options and then clear history
