For Microsoft Internet Explorer, go to Tools: Internet Options: General: Clear History.How do you clear the search bar history?
If you are using an actual website, you should go to the start menu, then go to control panel. Once you have this windown opened up, go to internet options. Then, click the ';content'; tab. Once you have done this, click on autcomplete. Then click on clear forms. If you want to turn it off completely, you can unclick all the tabs.

If you are using Google Toolbar, click the Google logo and then click clear search history. But it depends on which search bar you're using if it's not Google.
