Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Click on Content and then Auto Complete. Then click on Clear Forms. This will erase your search history. If you don't want things showing up again in your search history then deselect the Auto Complete options at the top. In your address bar, on yahoo search, when you start to write something, a message will come up saying ';Clear Recent Searches';, click on that, and your searches will be deleted..Good Luck..

Try looking in the ';Help'; section of your browser.
Click on TOOLS button and scroll down to 'clear private data' and click on it.
If you have a Yahoo toolbar adjust your settings on your search bar. There should be a ';pencil'; on older Yahoo toolbars.....or the word ';Settings'; on newest version.

With the new version you can clear recent searches on the Settings or go to toolbar options and check Auto-clear recent searches when exiting IE. If you have the older version toolbar for Yahoo you may be able to clear searches this way also otherwise you can also adjust your Search Preferences in http://search.yahoo.com


under My Web click the edit link and look for '; Turn on My Search History to remember search results I click on so I can easily retrieve them. (I can always clear My Search History at any time.)';. Uncheck the box





To clear all searches:


For Internet Explorer 6 or other simliar browsers; open Tools found on the Menu bar and look for Internet options. If the Menu bar is not displayed; right click near the top on the browser and select it. When the palette comes up, look for browsing history and click on delete history.


For IE7 click on tools and choose option Delete browsing history at the top .
Go to the Tools button on top, then click internet options, then click Clear History. If its just in just on the yahoo search bar just highlight what you search and press delete.
On your start menu: go to ';My Computer';,click control panel. Under control panel, click ';switch to classic view';. Find ';Internet Options';, double-click. On browser history, click tab that says ';delete history';. At bottom of next panel that appears, click ';delete all';. This not only clears your history, but other things as well, like cookies that tend to bog down your computer. It wont hurt your computer, and it will run faster. Also, make sure you turn your computer off every night.
