How do you clear history on search line?

To clear your history from Internet Explorer:


1. Go to the ';Tools'; menu.


2. Select ';Internet Options.';


3. Click the ';General'; tab.


4. Click the ';Clear History'; button. To completely disable the history function, set ';Days to keep pages in history'; to zero.





To clear your history from Mozilla Firefox:


1. Go to the ';Tools'; menu.


2. Select ';Options'; %26gt; ';Privacy'; %26gt; ';History.';


3. Click on ';Clear.'; To completely disable the history function, set ';Remember visited pages for the last X days'; to zero (';0';).

If I understand what you're saying correctly, you're reffering to the saved searches in search engines (such as Google).





To delete these searches in Internet Explorer, go to Tools%26gt;Options and then click on ';clear history.';

* Go to menu, tools =%26gt;Internet options =%26gt; content.


Click AutoComplete in the bottom. In the resulting window click clear forms.





* To permanently stop saving the search and form field entries goto Tools=%26gt;Internet Options=%26gt;Content=%26gt;AutoComplete uncheck all the boxes and click ok.





In Firebox





* Either press Ctrl+Shift+Del or Click Tools=%26gt;Clear Private Data. In the resulting dialog you can select the various options to clear.

your search or form entries will not appear anymore.
Just keep deleting the words you don't want there. Open a field for a search. Double click on the window and all the words you have in your search history should come up. Just push delete on the words you want to eliminate and they will be gone . . .
look up youre history and when you find it right click and the delete


if that dont work do a yahoo search and you will get something

If you are trying to clear previous search, then follow the steps listed below:

3. On the Search window on the left side of Internet Explorer, click on Previous searches.


4. Now you find Clear button. Click on it to clear previous searches.





If you are trying to clear History of previously visited site then follow the steps listed below:


1. Click on ';Tools'; on the top menu bar and click on ';Internet Options';.


2. On the ';Internet Options'; windows click on the ';Delete Files'; button.





Note: You also have the option of automatically deleting files each time the close the browser window by clicking the ';Advanced'; tab and checking ';Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed'; under the ';Security'; section.
I think he's asking from the search engine. I too have this problem, and u cant just right click and go to delete. I have all my searches on my toolbar and it sucks because I dont know how to get rid of them either.
