To delete just the History:

1)Press Ctrl+H in your keyboard.

2)Delete all the tabs such as 3 weeks, 2 days. Delete the Today tab only in the last.

3)Close Internet Explorer.

To delete the search History:

1)Open the search page such as google(even yahoo)

2)In the search box type the starting letter of the word you searched( eg- you searched for flowers, now just type the letter ';f'; in the search box)

3)Press the Delete key or the back space key in the keyboard.

4)Follow the same procedure to delete all the serach terms

5)Repeat the procedure for the same letter and see if the search term appears or not, if it appears, you have not done it properly

Note: Mind you even if you delete the history the search history remains so you need to delete search history first and then the normal history.
