How can I clear history in Google search area?

Everytime I try to type something in Google, a drop down list appears and shows all the things I have typed to search in the past. How can I clear all this so it just appears blank? How can I clear history in Google search area?
All you have to do is:

1. Click on the google search engine (where you type).

2. Do not type anything, simply push down on your keyboard (the down on the arrowkeys)

3. Go to the first thing that comes up (the first thing that comes up will be something from your history, as will the things below it).

4. Now that you've went to the first thing that came and it is selected/highlighted hit delete on your keyboard. DO NOT HIT BACKSPACE. HIT DELETE... IT SHOULD BE NEAR PAGE UP, PAGE DOWN, HOME, AND END.

5. Continue to HOLD DOWN delete as the history will get deleted.

6. Then in the search box text from your last alphibetical search will come just BACKSPACE that and all your history is gone.

This will delete the history for then. But every time you type you will have to do the same procedure. How can I clear history in Google search area?
To clear what you have in search history as of now: point the the bottom item so it hi-lites. Press the Delete key on your keyboard. Keep doing this one at a time until the list is cleared.

Note: ths method works with most search lists and other drop down lists.
It depends on the browser.Your browser stores the data not google. So if you use firefox go to tools%26gt;clearprivate data.

If you use opera go to tools%26gt;delete private data.I recommend opera as the best browser for maintaining privacy.
Click the down arrow on the search box at the upper left of the page. Scrool down and you'll see delete history.
